Over the past few years, there has been a specific piece of world news many have been watching that ties-in with prophecy. One in particular, involves the red heifer ashes. As most of you know, there have been 5 red heifers living in Israel that were originally transplanted from the U.S.A on September 15, 2022. Sometime in 2025, all five heifers were disqualified. One of the elements of disqualification involves finding non-red hair(s) on the heifer which are then plucked with the location of the hair on the heifer being documented. If the hair re-grows and it is not red, then the heifer is officially disqualified. Using this guideline, three of the heifers were officially disqualified. The other two are under a close watch to see if there is any re-growth that is red or not. These heifers remain in Israel. On July 1, 2025, one of the disqualified heifers was used in a practice of the red heifer ritual. We still wait for the real red heifer and the ritual of its ashes to be made ready for purification purposes.
Before going any further, there may be a few folks who might need a little background information to help understand why these red heifers in Israel are such exciting news.
Since the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 AD, our Jewish brethren (and many others) have desired to rebuild the temple and restart the temple service. Temple service revolves around the altar and the daily sacrifices. In 1987 a non-profit organization was founded called Temple Institute, dedicated to the rekindling of all things pertaining to the Temple and its rebuilding. They have everything ready to start the temple service and have been waiting for just two final things to fall in place. One is the ability to set up the altar on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the second is to have ashes of a red heifer for purification. These are their requirements which they have studied and determined to be necessary for the building of the altar and the Third Temple. The Temple Institute and most Jewish scholars believe that these ashes herald the coming of the Jewish Messiah based on the prophecy of the 10th red heifer. This is the reason for the great amount of profound importance placed upon these heifers at this time.
The Red Heifer Ashes
Finding a red heifer that qualifies according to the scriptures (Numbers 19) is challenging, but in 2022, a rancher in Texas was able to breed 5 of these special female cows. As mentioned above, two remain as potential candidates. Students of eschatology (like myself) find this news especially exciting and we will watch with great interest to see if a red heifer is Biblically slaughtered and burned on the Mount of Olives to create the proper ashes as well as the waters of purification.
A quick side note about the red heifer ashes; this is not a sacrifice. Sacrifices can only be performed on the altar in the place of Elohim’s choosing. The only designated sacrifice spot is the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. So, when the red heifer is killed and burned outside the assembly on the Mount of Olives (Numbers 19:3), that does not follow the guidelines to be deemed a sacrifice. The reason for the ashes of the red heifer is for purification of people from contact with death, so they can come before Elohim with their sacrifices in a pure manner.
Eschatology students (who study end time events) understand the sequence of how these final two requirements that the Temple Institute is waiting for may well happen. It is easy to consider that the ashes of a red heifer will be readied first since there is nothing to block the nascent Sanhedrin from performing this task (even in times of war) since the Mount of Olives is within the State of Israel.
However, the ability to build the altar on the Temple Mount will require a different approach since this area is currently under Jordanian control. It will require an event that will rock the world. That event will be the well-known prophetic invasion by Gog, Magog, and their cohorts (Ezekiel 38 & 39), who will be defeated by the Elohim of Israel (though one sixth will remain alive and rebuild to eventually become the end time little horn of Daniel 9). Even though Jordan is not mentioned as a cohort with Magog, it will be clear that the Jordanian Wafta who control the Temple Mount will lose that control – once YHVH destroys Magog and the cohorts. With YHVH’s victory, Israel will gain full control of the Temple Mount which will allow for the assembly of the altar and the Holy Place.
The Temple Institute has said that once this invasion is defeated, they will perform the cleansing ritual of the people with the red heifer ashes/waters of purification. Then they will quickly set up the altar and perform the eight-day dedication ceremony. Then the altar will be operational and the ability to worship Elohim as outlined in the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) can take place.
Can we know when we might see the altar dedicated and the construction of the Holy Place started? Yes, to some degree we can know. It will take a few steps that involves prophecies associated with Daniel 8, Ezekiel 38/39, Noah, and Joseph.
Prophecy of Daniel 8:1-8
BEFORE Magog comes sweeping down from the north and invades Israel, there is another prophecy that must happen. It is the prophecy of Daniel 8:1-8 regarding the conquering of Iran (the ram with two horns) or at least a change of rulership. The end result is that Iran will once again become a nation that works with western nations instead of acting as an enemy. Who will conquer Iran in our modern day? That will most likely be NATO, lead by the US. This is necessary so that Iran (Persia) will become a cohort with Magog in their invasion of Israel (Ezekiel 38:4-5). Details that identify Magog as the E.U. (and NATO) will soon be published in a future article.
Gog/Magog and cohorts invasion of Israel – Ezekiel 38/39
Then, sometime AFTER the Daniel 8 prophecy when Iran is conquered or has a change of leadership (and becomes an ally with Magog), will come the Gog/Magog invasion. When YHVH destroys this invasion, it will lead to the momentous change that enables Israel to have control of the Temple Mount (and all that goes with that control). The destruction of invasion army is no confined to the northern Israel landscape. As Ezekiel 39:6 indicates, those of Magog and its cohorts, who dwell along the coastlines will also experience YHVH’s destruction. At the same time, there will be judgment against the neighbouring Arab nations (Ezekiel chapters 25 to 32, 35), which will lead to a vast area opened for inhabitation by Israel – especially those of the ‘lost’ ten tribes who have been scattered to the four winds. Now they can come home. The outcome for Israel after the destruction of Magog and its cohorts is outlined in Ezekiel 39:28-29; we know YHVH / we are gathered again into The (expanded) Land / the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Ruach haKodesh) upon YHVH’s people (more on that further along).
First steps leading to Daniel 8:1-8 and then the Gog/Magog invasion
It wasn’t until October 7, 2023, when HAMAS attacked Israel on the last day of Sukkot that eschatology students saw the first step that will lead towards Iran’s overthrow and then the Gog/Magog invasion of Israel. The ensuing events since then between Israel and the world are laying the foundation for the manifestation of the Ezekiel judgment prophecies against the prophesied invading nations and the Magog invasion. How so?
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has retaliated against (Iranian backed) HAMAS in the Gaza and in this manner has become the instrument of consequence against the violent actions of HAMAS. At that time, the world had sympathy for Israel and the many hostages taken by the Gazans. Yet, as of August 2025, the world is showing a significant about-face by openly expressing great disapproval of Israel’s conduct in the Gaza strip – something that has not been done before. They refer to reports from the UN and its subsidiary organizations working in Gaza (such as UNRWA), that pump out data streams supporting/pushing the narrative of Israel being the perpetrator of famine and genocide. The main players in support of this include the European nations, plus Australia, New Zealand and Canada who have each announced their intentions to recognize a Palestinian state (with conditions) at the up-coming UN General Assembly on September 23, 2025 – which ironically is Yom Teruah/Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets.
If this declaration and recognition of a Palestinian statehood is made at the UN, it will not result in establishing complete sovereignty for the Palestinians, but it will be sufficient in the eyes of the world. Then, if Israel continues its current stance to control Gaza for the sake of rooting out HAMAS, this will be seen by these above-mentioned nations as a violation of that Palestinian ‘sovereignty’ and ‘statehood’. This might well be the hooks that draw Magog to invade into northern Israel spurred on by their perceived idea of coming to the aid of the ‘defenseless’ Palestinians.
After the Magog and cohorts invasion and destruction comes Joseph’s prophecy
Through all of this, the red heifer ashes are instrumental in the unfolding of prophecies. Scriptures clearly show that the trigger for the start of the tribulation will be the stopping of sacrifices (which requires an altar) and the setting up of an abomination in the Holy Place. (Daniel 8:11-14, 26; 9:27; 11:31; 12:11; Joel 1:9-13; Matthew 24:15; Ezekiel 7; Mark 13:14; Luke 21:20-21). We don’t have the ashes or the altar in Jerusalem right now, so it is clear there will be a time when there will be both. According to the Temple Institute, the red heifer ashes are needed for the start-up operations with the altar and the Holy Place.
When could the prophecy of Daneil 8:1-8 occur? When could the Ezekiel 38 & 39 prophecy occur? There are no specific clues given to help us pinpoint a specific date for these prophecies which provide the outcome of Israel having control of the Temple Mount and setting up the altar and Holy Place. However, there is one clue in Ezekiel 39:9 following Magog’s destruction that gives us a possible year.
Time of plenty and time of famine – a repeat of Joseph’s account
The following information is speculation, but it is information that should be kept in mind when that period of time approaches. From the one clue we have in Ezekiel 39:9, there is a possible outcome this will all happen within the Hebrew year from Tishri 1, 2027 to Elul 30, 2028 (October 1-2, 2027 to September 19-20, 2028).
Here is how that one clue enables us to figure out the possible year of the Magog invasion. Ezekiel 39:9 mentions a period of 7 years in which Israel will utilize the spoils of what Magog brought to The Land as part of their unsuccessful invasion. That could be considered as a time of plenty since Israel will not have to use their own resources for that time period (Ezekiel 39:9-10). This is reminiscent of the account of Joseph who prepared Egypt for the upcoming 7 years of famine by storing the harvests from the previous 7 years of plenty.
If the 7 years of utilizing the spoils of Magog is a time of plenty and considered as a repeat of Joseph’s account, then there will be a following period of 7 years of famine. Amos 8:11 speaks about a time when there will be a famine of the hearing of the words of Elohim. Amos 8:1-7 tells us that the famine comes as a result of the children of Israel being exceedingly greedy and manipulative for personal gain (which may well happen as people revel in the 7 years of plenty). Amos does not mention how long this famine will be, but by using the template of the account of Joseph, we can determine this famine will be a period of 7 years as well (there are more factors that support this as well but won’t be discussed here). All-in-all, the time of plenty and the time of famine is a 14-year period.
What happens at the end of the 14 years? It would make sense that the famine of the hearing of the words of Elohim is turned around and we are able to hear the words of Elohim once again. This can only be facilitated by the return of Yeshua as our Messiah and King. According to the timeline developed and published on this website, His return will be in the fall of 2040. Therefore, from the Hebrew year (Tishri 1 to Elul 30) that spans 2040/2041, count backwards 7 years to know the start year of the famine of the hearing of the words of Elohim. That would be the Hebrew year that spans the Gregorian years of 2034/2035. Then, from there count a further 7 years backwards to know the start of the 7 years of plenty (as described in Ezekiel 39:9). That Hebrew year spans the Gregorian years of 2027/2028.
Originally, this article was posted suggesting the year that would start the 7 years of plenty would occur in the Hebrew year beginning from the fall of 2023/2024. That year was one of two speculations that had been developed back in 2022 – with the other speculation being the 2027/2028 start. Clearly, the time of plenty did not begin in 2023/2024 but it did herald the start of events that will lead to the prophetic manifestation of Daniel 8:1-8 and then the invasion/destruction by Magog resulting in the time of plenty.
Please just keep the year 2027/2028 in mind and be watchful of world events that are laying the foundation for Daniel 8:1-8 (Iran eventual overthrow) to occur first, followed by the positioning of nations and people who will become revealed as Magog and their cohorts.
As with all prophecies, they end with uplifting information. When people hear the words ‘end times’ or ‘tribulation’ they become deeply afraid of all the death and destruction that is portrayed within the prophetic scriptures. What most people don’t realize is that this death and destruction is not aimed at those who call upon His name – Yeshua haMashiach – and who believe and trust Him (faith). We either experience a place of safety if we are in Judea (Matthew 24:16 / Revelation 12:6, plus more) or if we are in the rest of the world, we experience an exodus that is greater than the one out of Egypt (Jeremiah 16:14-15 / Jeremiah 23:7-8).
Let this mind be in you that is in Messiah, Yeshua.

Original posting (kept here for integrity purposes)
Shalom everyone,
This open letter (dated March 31, 2023) is being posted as something different than my typical posts and will be more about some special world news. What makes this post stand out is the tie-in of prophecy to this news item.
As most of you know, there are now 5 red heifers living in Israel.
For those who don’t know, the announcement on September 15, 2022 about these red heifers now in Israel was ground-breaking.
These are their requirments which they have studied and determined to be necessary for the building of the altar and the Third Temple. The Temple Institute and most Jewish scholars believe that these ashes herald the coming of the Jewish Messiah due to the prophecy of the 10th red heifer, thus the profound importance that is placed upon them at this time.
Finding a red heifer that qualifies according to the scriptures (Numbers 19) is challenging, but in 2022, a rancher in Texas was able to breed 5 of these special female cows. They have met the requirements thus far and the intent is to sacrifice them sometime in 2024 when they are of age (according to Rabbinic law). Students of eschatology (like myself) find this news especially exciting and we will watch 2024 with great interest to see if there is a sacrifice of one or more of these heifers to make the waters of purification.
Eschatology students (studying end time events) understand the sequence of how these final two events will happen. It is understood that the ashes of a red heifer will be readied first since there is nothing to block the nascent Sanhedrin from performing this task. The ability to build the altar on the Temple Mount will require a different approach since this area is currently under Jordanian control. It will require an event that will rock the world. That event will be a regional war which will be won by the Elohim of Israel. This means that the Temple Mount will transition from Jordanian control and come under Israeli control.
In the scriptures, this regional war and judgment is prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39. It is also known by many as the Gog/Magog war.
The Temple Institute has said that once this war is won, they will set up the altar right away and perform the eight day dedication ceremony. Then the altar will be operational and the ability to worship Elohim as outlined in the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) can take place. Included in all this will be creation of the red heifer ashes of purification for the people.
With that understanding, I would like to draw our attention to the timing of the Gog/Magog war.
Many have been watching social media and hearing others speak about events related to the Ezekiel judgment prophecies since 2022 (and probably earlier). Many were anticipating they will see the Gog/Magog war take place sometime in October or November or December, 2022. When nothing manifested, many began to speculate about the spring or summer of 2023. Nothing happened until the last day of Sukkot when HAMAS attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. Now we are seeing the foundation for the manifestation of the Ezekiel judgment prophecies.
For many years, I have been immersed in an eschatology project that has opened up so much about what the end time prophecies are all about. This study has resulted in the development of a comprehensive timeline that has been developed as Biblical and non-human biased as possible.
With so many scriptures about prophecy incorporated into this timeline, it can only be described as very detailed. Please check it out on this website. The accompanying Presentation Notes for each page will provide helpful understanding.
Anyways, this study and the resulting timeline clearly show that the Gog/Magog war may very well happen on October 31/November 1, 2023.
(please note: Gog and Magog did not show directly up on this date. Yet, something did happen specifically on this date that clearly indicates these prophecies are about to manifest. The nations that make up Gog and Magog are gathering. Please read the article "The Hooks Revealed in Real Time")
In the Hebrew civil calendar, October 31/November 1, 2023 is Cheshvan 17. Cheshvan is the second month of the civil calendar, which the scriptures and scholars say is the month and day Noah’s flood began. There are clear parallels of these two events and they act as clues to understand the timing of the Gog/Magog war, but I won’t go into detail here. Click this LINK to read the article I wrote which will give more understanding of this perspective.
Also, this Gog/Magog war begins another set of prophecies…the time of plenty and the time of famine of the hearing of the words of the LORD. Click this LINK to read the article I wrote which explains how the time of plenty and famine in the account of Joseph in Egypt will be repeated in these end times.
Please join me in watching the events that began to unfold in the autumn of 2023, especially pertaining to the war footing in the Middle East and what the nascent Sandhedrin will do regarding the red heifers in the coming months.
As mentioned, the full timeline of end time events is now available on this website for anyone to access. As well, I have attached an overview chart of the 70 Weeks prophecy which can offer visual insight of what I have alluded to in this posting.
We either experience a place of safety if we are in Judea or we experience the Greater Exodus if we are in the rest of the world.
Let this mind be in you that is in Messiah, Yeshua.
